2021 Term 2, Week 7
Principal's Piece
Dear Families and Friends
We look forward to the long weekend, with a public holiday on Monday and a school closure day on Tuesday for our Catholic Day. Our OSHC will be operating on Tuesday from 8am to 5pm for any OSHC families that require care for their child.
Miss Eileen is setting up the Book Fair this week ready for parents and students to purchase books. It will run for a week in the library, from Wednesday 9th to Tuesday 15th June 2021, from 2.00-2.30pm each day. EFTPOS is our preferred method of payment.
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation and Eucharist will be celebrated on Sunday 13th June. Tylen Johnson, a St Joseph's student, and two others from East Kimberley College will make their sacraments. We invite all our students and their family to be part of this celebration.
Canteen
A reminder that it is the parent/carer responsibility to order their child's lunch and recess from the canteen. For children who catch the bus assistance is provided but if you drop your child at school we ask that you help them order at the canteen or in the classroom. You are welcome to collect some lunch bags from the canteen so you can prepare your lunch orders at home. To access the full canteen menu lunch orders need to be placed by 9am and if placed after this time a restricted menu will be available. Also, as the end of term approaches, I ask that you make every effort to pay your canteen bill. The school cannot afford to accumulate outstanding debts. CentrePay deductions or direct deposits are a great way of staying on top of these accounts. If you are unsure of your canteen account, please come and see Kris or Eileen.
On Sunday we celebrated Trinity Sunday, a reminder that the most Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are working together. They are never separated, though each one is a well-defined divine person. There is unity of essence and relation within the three divine persons. The church reminds us that the three divine persons are not divided in their grace. Instead, they work and walk together. Like the Holy Trinity we can live and work together as one family of God. Despite our different talents, gifts, social and economic levels, we can live and work together for our salvation and salvation of the world.

Prayer for Trinity Sunday
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, animate our living.
Help us to forget ourselves, to get caught up in the mystery of your love and life.
Let us never forget the need to care for the good of others.
Never let us take for granted the mystery of life.
Amen
You’re Welcome!
Our school gates are often closed for reasons of student safely, but that doesn’t mean you’re not welcome. Just lift the latch at the top of the pedestrian gate and come on in.
