2021 Term 2, Week 2
Principal's Piece
Dear Parents and Carers
Our school Code of Conduct describes minimum standards of conduct in all behaviour and decision making to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Over the last term the staff have been reviewing the Code of Conduct and unpacking its statements and what they mean for each of us in our different roles at St Joseph's. Over the next term I would like to share our Code of Conduct with our parents and wider community and invite parents to reflect on each statement and what it means for the role they play in our school.
Code of Conduct Statement 1 - “You act safely and competently.”
Three way conferences have been set for next week. This is a great opportunity to meet with your child's teachers and hear how they are going at school. At these meetings we would love to set some goals for your child and are keen to hear about anything going on in your child's life that you want the teachers to know about. Please keep an eye out for a note about this and let the teacher know your preference for a meeting time. If you need assistance with transport to attend the meeting please let the front office know.
As you are aware the COVID situation in Perth has changed drastically over the last week. Some of our staff were in Perth on or since the 17th of April so they are complying with the Department of Health directives by wearing a mask whilst they are at school. We ask for any parents who have also been to Perth during those dates to wear a mask whilst at school.
As of this term we can invite some of our parents to attend assembly on Friday. To make sure we are adhering to the two metre square rule only parents from the class presenting an assembly item will be invited to attend. Please look out for information about when your child's class is presenting an assembly item on SeeSaw.
Dates for your diary - Busy Bee Saturday 8th of May 7.30am and Mother's Day Basketball game Friday 7th May at 1.30pm
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Miss Gabby
