2021 Term 2, Week 1
Principal's Piece
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back to Term 2. We hope you had a restful school holidays. We have had a great start to the term coming together on Tuesday morning to celebrate Easter with a liturgy and whole school congo line!
This term we welcome Mrs Natalie Evans to the role of Specialist Art Teacher; she will be working at the school on Mondays and Thursdays. Miss Desma Mengil is also back with us this term full time in the Year 4/5 classroom. We also welcome two practicum students to our school, Isabella Sutton and Georgia Miller. They will be here until the end of the term and working in the Year 1 and 2/3 classrooms.
Thank you to all our families who paid their school fees by the start of Term 2, this is greatly appreciated. If you are yet to pay your school fees you are welcome to talk to Di about a payment plan.
We have a Busy Bee on Saturday 8th May where we will prepare the gardens and undertake some improvements to our Kindy-Pre-Primary and main playgrounds. We would love to see as many parents and helpers as possible at school to help us out. We are also looking for donations of items that we could use in the playground.
As of this term the St Joseph’s School bus can only be used by students who have been issued a school bus pass, based on the eligibility criteria listed in the note sent home to parents last term. If your child does not have a pass please don’t expect them to be able to catch the bus.
We have the ANZAC Day public holiday this coming Monday, 26th April, so when students return to school on Tuesday 27th April we will have an ANZAC assembly at 8am. Parents are welcome to attend as it will take place outside.
Our first P&F Meeting of the term is scheduled for 2.30pm on Wednesday 28th of April. We will review the Master Playground Plan and allocate funds from the Quiz Night. All parents/carers are invited to attend the meeting.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Miss Gabby
Principal
Thank you to our wonderful St Patrick's Quiz Night sponsors:
