2021 Term 2, Week 9
Principal's Piece
Dear Families and Friends
Welcome to Week 9. You may have heard that our school bus it out of service, possibly till the end of term. We are doing our best to pick students up and drop them off in other school vehicles, however this may take longer than normal so please be patient with us. If you are able to transport your children to and from school please let us know.
We will celebrate NAIDOC Week at St Joseph's in Week 11 this term. We look forward to welcoming all our families and friends to the different events throughout the week. Please check out the program for the week and mark it in your diaries.

We look forward to handing out Semester 1 Reports to parents in Week 11. As you can appreciate, a lot of work goes into writing reports and so we want to make certain they make it home to the parents. We ask that parents/carers collect the reports directly from the teacher. You are invited to join us at our NAIDOC celebrations during Week 11 and you can collect reports from classroom teachers at these times.
Congratulations to the three students from our parish who celebrated their Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist on the weekend. It was a lovely celebration and you should be very proud of yourselves.
I would like to draw your attention to the canteen procedures in this newsletter which outline moving from a debit to credit system. We will work towards implementing this as of Term 3 so please assist us with making the transition as smooth as possible.
Code of Conduct 8 - You support all members of the school community in making informed decisions about students.
Friday 2nd July is the last day of term 2.
Have a great rest-of-the-week!
Miss Gabby
Principal
You’re Welcome!
Our school gates are often closed for reasons of student safely, but that doesn’t mean you’re not welcome. Just lift the latch at the top of the pedestrian gate and come on in.
Update your phone number and emergency contacts
If you change your phone number, please tell us. Please also provide us with any changes to your emergency contacts. We many need to ring you or your emergency contact if your child is sick or doesn’t get picked up after school.
